My name is Shruthi, and this is my story.

I wasn’t sure whether he used to like me or not. I was too comfortable with him, and he was with me. The relationship between us was just like friends. We used to hang out together, eat together, have fun together, etc.

One day, he invited me to his home, as always. I was in the kitchen. While I was cooking, we were also having a conversation, as he was standing behind me. Suddenly, after a moment, he came close from behind and asked, “Are you happy when I’m around you?”

Listening to him, I was surprised. I couldn’t say anything, as I was feeling butterflies in my stomach.

He said, “Give me an answer, dear.”

I turned around in surprise and saw that he was looking straight into my eyes. Seeing him so close, my words started to tremble. I couldn’t speak clearly. He smiled, looking at me, knowing how talkative I usually was.

He started getting closer to me, and I kept moving backward with each step. His steps toward me pushed me to the end, near the wall. I was shocked, as there was no more space to move back. Seeing me cornered, he dared to come even closer, smiled at me, and asked again, “Are you happy when I’m with you?”

I had no option but to answer, so I said, “Yes, I’m happy when you’re around me,” in a trembling voice.

Hearing my answer, he bent down toward my face. His lips were close to mine. I could feel his breath—he was that close. He asked, “Can I continue?”

I stood there, closing my eyes after hearing it. I couldn’t say anything, nor did I want to miss the chance. His lips touched mine, and we kissed each other. It was my first kiss.

After kissing, he just confessed, saying, “I love you.”

I was shocked hearing him and went away in shy silence after gently pushing him. Later, we had lunch together, but we didn’t talk about what had happened. He didn’t ask me anything about his confession. The air in the room was silent.

After eating, I went near him to take his plate. I was hesitating a little, but after taking it, I bent down toward him, as he was sitting on a chair, gave him a sudden peck, and said, “I love you too.”

After saying it, I went straight into the kitchen.

I felt really relaxed after confessing my feelings too. My heart was pumping so fast that I could hear my own heartbeat. I was literally blushing a lot. After hearing, “Shruthi,” from behind, I turned back. He just hugged me tightly. His arms wrapped around me, and I melted into them. I felt complete, something I had never experienced before.

For a moment, words became unnecessary between us, as our hearts were speaking louder.

He gently pushed me toward the wall and kissed me passionately. The intensity of the kiss made me surrender in the moment, and my heart raced with excitement. I responded equally, my hands reaching to pull him even closer.

Suddenly, I felt something sweet on my lips. I opened my eyes and realized he was sharing a chocolate with me during the kiss.

We paused for a moment. He smiled with warmth and affection, and seeing it, my heart melted. I couldn’t help but smile back at him.

He whispered with a soft smile, “I’ve been waiting to tell you how much you mean to me.”

I smiled back with happiness and love and said, “Me too.”

The taste of chocolate still lingered on our lips, and he leaned in again for another tender kiss—filled with love, commitment, happiness, and affection.

We wanted to create many sweet and unforgettable moments with each other.

I found happiness in his arms and felt complete having him by my side. I was ready to face whatever the future held for us, knowing our love would guide us toward happiness.
